• Who are we?
    We are Green Meats Co, a plant-based meat company. The company was formed on the idea of trying to help people transition away from a diet based on animal products. So, after months and months of recipe testing and putting our heads together over how to make the best impact, we formed the subscription box. Being able to reach the whole of the UK and beyond we are directly able to impact those living in Cornwall, Aberdeen, and everywhere in between.
  • Where are we?
    Our headquarters are based in Walthamstow, London; you can find us at 35 St James Street, Unit 29, E17 7FY. 
  • Why not ‘real’ meat?
    Here at the Green Meats Co we believe there is a wide spectrum of varied reasons not to support the animal agriculture industry. To summarise; we don't believe in the exploitation of animals for human consumption. It has been proven that animal agriculture is one of the leading contributors to climate change and greenhouse gas emissions. Lastly we believe there are countless health benefits to consuming a purely plant-based diet.
  • Are the products protein-rich?
    An age-old myth; technically we only need between 40-70g of protein if we are relatively sedentary and this can easily be achieved by eating a balanced plant-based diet. Our sosige is, gram for gram, extremely similar in protein levels to the meat based option with less cholesterol and more fibre.
  • How does the box work?
    Our boxes, once ordered, will be hand picked at our central kitchen, signed, sealed and delivered by DPD courier to your address. Any more specific questions about subscriptions please feel free to email us at hello@greenbutcher.com.
  • Am I tied into a subscription?
    No. We’re not about commitment, unless it’s to a plant-based world of course! But seriously, you have the option to opt in OR out at checkout.


  • Where do you deliver the subscriptions too?
    We currently deliver within the UK - European plans are in the pipeline so keep your eyes peeled!
  • When do you deliver?
    There are set dates which can be found in the check out section. If you are already subscribing you will be notified by email when the next box will be delivered. We endeavour to deliver the box on the 1st Wednesday of each month.
  • What if I’m not in?
    We have an agreement with DPD that, because your delivery is a box packed with food goodies, the driver must make the delivery on that day. In the delivery notes section please make sure to leave a comment where you would like the box delivered if no one is in.
  • How do I change the delivery address?
    When placing your order, an account will be made for you. Please make sure any changes are made more than 48 hours in advance of delivery. Any queries please email hi@greenmeats.com.
  • What if my delivery doesn’t arrive?
    You will be given a delivery time and date from DPD that will tell you when to expect your box. If this has not happened please visit DPD website where they will give you a tracking update. If there is no further information please contact hi@greenmeats.com and one of our team will follow this up for you.


  • Is it 100% vegan?
    Yes, absolutely everything in your box is 100% vegan.
  • Cooking our meals
    All of our products come with cooking instructions and they mostly cook exactly as you would a meat based product.
  • Are there gluten Free options?
    Currently the majority of our meats are made from a product called seitan. This is made primarily from vital wheat gluten and, as such, means the products are not gluten free. Nonetheless we are working on turning our whole product range gluten free eventually. Watch this space.
  • What about allergens?
    All of our products will come with a comprehensive list of ingredients on them, clearly displaying allergens.


  • How do I store my items?
    You can either store our meat products in the fridge or freezer. If kept in the fridge please use within 10 days. If in the freezer then you have 6 months from the date of freezing. Each item will have it’s own use by date. 
  • Are they plastic-wrapped?
    In order to pack our products for longer shelf life, we use a process called vacuum packing. This removes the air, dramatically reducing the risk of spoilage. The only packaging material that this is possible with currently is plastic. We are totally aware of the detrimental effect plastic has and are working with packaging companies to replace this with a plant-based, biodegradable option. We have also partnered up with One Tree Planet to offset our footprint.


  • I'm on holiday for my next delivery how do I skip a month?
    Simply access your account and place your subscription on hold for one month.
  • I’ve moved house how do I change my account details?
    Update your account details in your Account section online easily..
  • What is the deadline to make changes to an order?
    Payment will be taken two days before the delivery date.
  • How do I cancel my subscription?
    Simply access your account, here you can cancel your subscription. Although, we can’t imagine you will...


  • I can't see the prices, why?
    Have you logged in? Wholesale prices are only available to those who have accounts with us. It’s really simple to sign up!
  • How do I open an account?

  • Is there a minimum order?
    There is no minimum order but please note the more you order with us the better it works out per unit for delivery.
  • When can I order?
    Orders can be placed 24 hours on our website.
  • Can I order over the phone?
    Orders can not be placed over the phone.
  • Can I change my order?
    Orders that need to be changed need to be done so 48 hours before the expected delivery.
  • I’m looking for a meat that you currently don’t stock?
    Please drop us an email to hi@greenmeats.com and we will look to get in touch within 48 hours to discuss options.
  • Do you stock other brands?
    Our plan is to become the one stop shop for all plant-based meats. For now we are launching with our own products but very soon will look to stock a wide array of plant-based meats. If there is a plant-based meat you would like to see us stock please drop us a line at hi@greenmeats.com with your ideas.
  • How do I get samples?
    Simply order the sample pack from the options on the products page and we will get that sent out for you to try.
  • Why are only some products available to London?
    Due to cold logistics we are only able to deliver certain products within a radius of our factory.
